We make Good Candles for Good People (that's you!) Founded in 2012 as Greenmarket Purveying Co., our company began as an adventure to capture and celebrate fine fragrance and olfactory experiences.

With a love of fragrance and its powerful connection to memory as our guide, we craft our products to smell amazing, be aesthetically beautiful, clean-burning, and mindfully sourced. We use a US-grown, non-GMO soy wax blend, high quality naturally derived fragrances, and cotton wicks. We’ve designed our vessels and packaging to be recyclable or reusable. Our fragrances are vegan, free of phthalates and parabens, and cruelty-free.

Now owned by some of the artists and makers who helped grow the company over the years, GP Candle Co. is proudly a women-owned and operated business, producing all of our products just outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

However, just making good candles is no longer enough for us, as good people do good things. Starting in 2024, we are pledging a portion of our sales to do good. The majority of our pledge will be focused on nonprofits working to bring housing and safe haven to those in need. We are also pledging a portion of proceeds attributed to the sales of our Balsam + Feather collection to be donated to nonprofits that work to conserve and protect our national parks.
